EXPORT PACKING SERVICE
Most delicate electronics components require specialized, professional packaging and warehousing services. Packing for all modes of transport (air-ocean-ground) is a basic element of Southern Groups day-to-day operations.
Receive, verify and log all purchase orders and dates (item numbers, item quantities, descriptions, unit price, etc.) into a permanent file
Bar code label individual boxes and data entry with extended use
labels of sufficient quality to maintain legibility throughout storage and/or transit periods
Prepare and issue the AMaterial Receipt@ detailing purchase order number, item number, quantity, description and part number of the exact contents of each consignment, including the number of pieces, weights, and dimensions
Maintain purchase order status by entering and recording all items and quantities received
Issue Purchase Order Status Reports indicating outstanding balances
Receive into storage consignments for packing, noting any and all exceptions on carrier delivery tickets
Verify contents of each consignment, unless otherwise instructed by the customer
Contact client immediately in case of discrepancies and/or damages upon receipt
Label and document hazardous materials in accordance with applicable D.O.T., U.S.C.G., I.M.O., or I.A.T.A. regulations (when applicable)
Prepare and issue APacking List@ detailing contents of each package by purchase order number; item number; part number; values; descriptions; net, are and gross weights in kilograms and pounds; dimensions in both centimeters and inches, plus total cubic footage and cubic meters. All packing lists are issued within 48 hours of packing
Containerization (by request). When containerization is ordered, specific instructions are taken, and manifests for each container are placed inside container indicating all pertinent details of the load
All packing, skidding, and containerization is done in accordance with the best current standards and practices of the industry. Specific general packing and construction specifications are furnished upon request. All material is
properly and carefully packed to reduce volume to the least possible cubic displacement of each pallet, bundle, skid or box. Total storage (in and out) security, and operating equipment is included.
